Evergreens
Subject to Availability
In New England, the evergreen constitutes the most important group of plants, for these are effective in gardens everyday of the year.
From our dwarf Rhododendrons to Blue Spruce, from our spreading Junipers to 8 foot tall Arborvitaes, the range of sizes and forms among our evergreens is enormous. The foliage, flowers, berries, and cones add to their year round appeal. The backbone of any garden design - they combine beautifully with shrubs, perennials, and annuals.
In Rhododendrons, the Black Forest Nursery offers the hardiest of their type - the dwarf Ramapo, the very hardy small leaf PJM and Olga, the dwarf small leaf Checkmate, and Little Olga. In big leaf Rhodies are Album, Boursault, Maximum Roseum, Nova Zembla, Purple Elegans, Roseum Elegans, and Spring Dawn. The Dark American and Emerald Green Arborvitaes are very effective as a tall year round screen.
